Physicochemical Testing

Standard Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Testing

A preliminary or standard indoor air quality testing involves inspection, measurements and laboratory testing where required of the following:

  • Visual inspection of the ventilation system
  • Airflow measurements
  • Carbon Dioxide(CO2) Testing
  • Carbon Monoxide (CO) Testing
  • Total VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) Testing
  • Temperature and
  • Relative Humidity (RH) Levels
  • Suspended particulates (PM10) and PM2.5  testing
  • Microorganisms (surface and airborne mould (fungi) and bacteria) sampling and laboratory analysis.

Other indoor air quality parameters may also be investigated as needed depending on likely or identified problems and potential indoor or outdoor air pollutants. Saniservice IS consultants also provide air quality testing for indoor environment as per the Dubai Municipality Green Building Requirements.

Physicochemical Parameters

Temperature

Temperature affects the body and there is an optimal range for people to feel comfortable and productive.

Humidity

Humidity refers to the amount of water vapor in the air.  This is the primary factor for the development of diffreent allergens like moulds.

Air Pressure

Air pressure refers to the pressure air exerts on a room.  Excessive air pressure can cause discomfort and may influence ventilation.

CO2

Carbon Dioxide can be caused by humans as a byproduct or through combustion.  Too much CO2 can cause discomfort and health related issues.

TVOC

Volatile Organic Compounds refer to organic compounds which easily become vapor or gas.  Some VOC can be highly toxic and cause diffferent health problems.

PM 2.5

Particulate matter are tiny particles that form in the atmosphere.  These matter can stay in the air for extended periods and maybe inhaled causing allergic reactions.

CO

Carbon Monoxide is a highly toxic Indoor Contaminant.  It is a colorless, odorless gas that can cause health damage in a very short span of time.

NO2

Nitrogen Dioxide are often found in automobile exhaust and fumes from burning fosdsil fuels.  Long term exposure  can cause chronic resperatory illnesses.

Ozone

Although Ozone is produced in nature tto cleanse the environment, its presence indoors must be controlled as exessive amounts of ozone can cause health issues.

Certified Testing

Indoor Sciences By Saniservice only does benchmarking.  Results are not certifed in anyway and can not and should not be used for any legal purposes.  However, if you require certified testing, Indoor Sciences can also facilitate this for you as we are parters with authorized laboratories locally and internationally.
